PlantStacks — Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Last updated: 17 June 2026 · Version 2.0 (US / North Carolina)

This Acceptable Use Policy governs your use of the PlantStacks software, website, and services provided by PlantStacks LLC. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Because PlantStacks is self-hosted, much of how it is used is within your control and responsibility.

1. You must not use the Service to

  • violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights (including IP and privacy);
  • store or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content;
  • transmit malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or data;
  • harass, abuse, or harm others;
  • process personal information unlawfully, or in breach of your own obligations;
  • export, re-export, download, or use the Service in violation of US export-control or economic-sanctions
  • laws (EAR / OFAC), including from or on behalf of any embargoed country or region (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions) or any sanctioned/denied party.

2. Licensing and integrity

You must not circumvent, forge, tamper with, or share licenses or the signing/verification mechanism, attempt to exceed your seat or feature entitlement, or remove proprietary notices. (See the EULA.)

3. Security responsibilities (self-hosted)

You are responsible for securing your installation: applying updates, restricting network exposure, configuring TLS/RBAC/MFA, managing accounts, and maintaining backups. Do not deploy the Service in a way that knowingly endangers others' systems or data.

4. Website and support

Do not abuse the website, support channels, trial system, or any in-product community/Q&A features (no spam, scraping at scale, or attempts to disrupt the service for others).

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and, where practicable on notice, suspend support or license issuance, or terminate, for serious or repeated violations, in line with the Terms of Service.

6. Reporting

Report suspected abuse or security issues to support@plantstacks.com.

_Template, not legal advice. Have a North Carolina business attorney review before relying on it._
